SPECIAL NOTE - ADDED 2-21-2020 - re: beginning female boxers:
We have had several inquiries for beginning female boxers. We have not had enough female boxers in the tournament to justify having a "sub-novice" female division. However, we will not allow matches between boxers with big differences in experience.
Therefore, we may, at the discretion of the Golden Gloves Board and based on the entries we have, allow some "match bouts" for female boxers that are not "part of the tournament," but that are legal and sanctioned USA Boxing bouts. This will be determined at the time of the drawing of the brackets, will give the boxers experience and an opportunity to compete in a Golden Gloves setting.
